City of Sacramento Transit Oriented Development

Project Background

  WALKSacramento has long been a supporter of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) as a way to improve mobility and health. WALKSacramento had continually advocated for the City of Sacramento to adopt stronger TOD policies that incentivize TOD and restrict car-oriented uses.

WALKSacramento submitted comment letters to the City, has commented on development projects in TOD zones, and developed a white paper focused on successful TOD implementation in suburban areas throughout the state to serve as a model for local TOD leadership.
