Mayors’ Commission on Climate Change

Project Background

  The Mayors’ Commission on Climate Change includes the cities of Sacramento and West Sacramento in a commitment to prepare for and mitigate the impacts of climate change. The goal of the Commission is to provide a forum to develop and vet priority areas and strategies for achieving Carbon Zero by 2045.

WALKSacramento participated in the Commission’s Built Environment, Mobility, and Community Health and Resiliency technical advisory committees and provided guidance on overarching policy goals, implementation strategies, and evaluation targets.
