Southside Park pedestrian dies from crash injuries

Our hearts ache for the family of Chew Kin Yee, who has died from his injuries after being struck by a car on September 12, crossing 10th and U Streets. While we don’t know what specifically caused this collision, we will be looking at the need for safety education, lower speed limits and better crossings.
